The Role
We're now seeking a
Business Development Manager
with a strong background in social housing to join our successful and high-performing Business Development & Bid team. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, building trusted relationships with key stakeholders, nurturing existing relationships and supporting our mission to deliver high-quality fire safety solutions for social housing buildings.

What You'll Be Doing
Identify, target, and win new business opportunities within social housing, local authorities, housing associations, and main contractors.
Build strong relationships with key decision-makers, procurement leads, consultants, and asset managers to generate new opportunities.
Promote and position our passive and active fire protection services to new prospects. Lead the front-end pursuit of framework and new client opportunities, coordinating with the bid team where required.
Work closely with the bid team by providing intel, client insight, and commercial direction for PQQs, ITTs, and tender submissions.
Drive early engagement with clients to influence specifications and secure inclusion in upcoming tenders and programmes of work.
Track and monitor framework pipelines to maximise call-offs and new project opportunities.
Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities, sector trends, and regulatory drivers within fire safety and social housing.
Maintain a robust new business pipeline and provide accurate forecasting and reporting to senior leadership.
Support the creation of sales materials, capability statements, and case studies aligned to growth plans.
Represent the company at industry events, networking forums, and framework briefings to generate leads.
Ensure effective handover of newly won contracts to operational teams, maintaining involvement until mobilisation is complete.
Support the ongoing relationships with existing social housing clients, identifying further opportunities
Our Requirements
Proven BDM, client relationship management or sales experience within social housing is essential.
Previous experience of working with subcontractors is highly beneficial.
Strong understanding of public-sector procurement routes, including frameworks, DPSs, and tender processes.
Knowledge of passive and/or active fire protection is an advantage, or related discipline.
Ability to build relationships with procurement teams, consultants, asset managers, and senior stakeholders.
Strong commercial awareness
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Highly self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of managing a new-business sales pipeline.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
