Business Development Manager (West Midlands)

Salary: 45,000 DOE + Commission

Location: West Midlands

Are you a driven, results-focused professional with a strong background in tool or machine hire? We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our growing team in the West Midlands, helping to expand our client base and strengthen relationships within the construction and surveying industries.

About the Role:

As the Business Development Manager, you'll play a key role in driving revenue growth and identifying new business opportunities across the region. You'll work closely with the Senior Management team to develop sales strategies, nurture existing client relationships, and introduce the full product and service range to new markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and develop new business opportunities across the construction and engineering sectors Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and on-site visits Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations, proposals, and quotations Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent service delivery and client satisfaction Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify areas for growth Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs Be a brand ambassador at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities

About You:

At this stage in your career you will be well versed in presenting sales pitches to clients both in person or over the phone. You will be adept in building relationships and understanding requirements quickly and effectively. A good sense of humour helps too! Furthermore we are looking for:

Proven experience in a tool hire/plant hire/machine hire business development or sales role Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities Proactive, target-driven, and able to work independently Knowledge of the construction or surveying industries is highly desirable Full UK driving licence required
