We are seeking an ambitious, strategic, and results-driven
Business Development Manager
to join our team and drive growth across the
material handling, warehouse automation, and logistics solutions
market. This role is ideal for someone with strong industry knowledge, a consultative sales approach, and a passion for helping customers optimise efficiency, safety, and productivity within their operations.
You will play a key role in expanding our customer base, building long-term partnerships, and representing our portfolio of solutions--including forklifts, racking systems, conveyors, automation technology, warehouse equipment, and end-to-end logistics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities within the warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, and logistics sectors.
Build strong relationships with key decision-makers, including Operations Managers, Warehouse Managers, Procurement Teams, and Senior Leadership.
Conduct on-site assessments, understand customer pain points, and deliver tailored solutions that improve operational efficiency.
Manage the full sales cycle--from lead generation and proposal development to pricing, negotiation, and closing deals.
Collaborate with internal teams including engineering, operations, and project delivery to ensure smooth implementation of solutions.
Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in warehouse automation and material handling.
Prepare accurate forecasts, pipelines, and sales reports.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client presentations.
Skills & Experience Required
Proven track record in business development or technical sales within the
material handling, warehouse equipment, automation, or logistics
industries.
Excellent understanding of warehouse operations, storage solutions, equipment types, and material flow.
Strong consultative selling skills and experience delivering value-based solutions.
Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate them clearly to customers.
Self-motivated, driven, and highly organized with excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
Comfortable managing a sales territory and working both independently and within a team.
Full UK driving licence (or relevant for your region).
