We are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team and drive customer growth, sales, and profitability across our division.
Role Overview:
As the Business Development Manager, you will leverage your sales expertise and passion for securing new deals to maximise customer attraction and retention, divisional revenue, and profitability.
This is a field-based role, specifically targeting Tier 2 and Tier 3 clients, where you will be responsible for negotiating deals, managing accounts, and forging long-term relationships with key customers. Your primary goal will be to grow the Hargreaves customer base by identifying new business opportunities and delivering tailored waste management solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive sales and revenue growth by developing new and existing business opportunities
Secure contracts and manage accounts with Tier 2 and Tier 3 clients
Maintain strong customer relationships and act as the primary point of contact for nominated clients
Ensure efficient fulfilment of orders and timely resolution of customer enquiries or complaints
Prepare and deliver impactful presentations, proposals, and contracts to stakeholders
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction
Manage all aspects of customer interaction with accuracy, compliance, and commercial focus
Fulfil commercial administration tasks to support the growth of customer accounts
Champion compliance and SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) initiatives across the division
Impact and Key Deliverables:
Lead the development of new and existing business opportunities
Efficiently manage commercial, operational, and financial functions
Increase both existing and new business sales
Fulfil orders in a timely and efficient manner
Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and contracts to internal and external stakeholders
Represent Hargreaves at customer functions and corporate events
Support divisional growth through proactive account management and administration
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Essential:
Proven track record in a commercial, field-based sales environment
Valid driving licence and willingness to travel
Desirable:
Experience within the waste management industry

Up to 50,000 basic salary

Commission and bonuses worth up to 16,000 annually - quarterly bonus of 3000 (up to 12,000 per year), plus an annual bonus of up to 4000
