Giffords Recycling have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join the team.

Our new facility is based in West Bromwich , West Midlands. We have gained both national and international recognition for our pioneering, environmentally-friendly work using 100% recycling wood.

Our products range from an innovative range of ground covering products for various applications (playgrounds, landscapes, surface and bedding for equestrian use and pallets).

We believe in preserving the environment and shaping the future.

Role Overview



The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role within the organisation and will be responsible for generating sales, forging strong relationships with customers and identifying new business opportunities. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

About the role:



Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets and new clients Creating strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities Building relationships with new clients, gauging their needs and developing proposals to address these needs Maintaining and developing relationships with current clients Pitching sales and products to new and existing clients Attending conferences and events to build relationships with industry partners and staying up to date with new trends Creating sales forecasts and actively working towards reaching them Possessing a strong understanding of the company's products, the competition in the industry and positioning Provide written quotations and advice to customers Order processing and scheduling of pallets Monitoring customer complaints and keeping management informed of the outcome Marketing of product utilising social media - eBay, LinkedIn and using existing customer base Liaise with Production Managers to ensure stock is available to fulfil orders. Administrative duties which include (list is not exhaustive) updating spreadsheets, generating purchase orders, scanning documentation. Ensure sales targets are maintained Any other duties which may be required by the business

Requirements



Minimum of 2 years or more proven business development/sales Ability to work under pressure as required Commitment to reaching and exceeding sales targets Results orientated Ability to build and manage customer relationships Excellent planning and organisational skills Ability to work under own initiative Ability to engender team spirit Self-motivated and possesses a positive 'can do attitude' Commitment to the mission and goals of the business Adaptability within a face-paced environment
