We're looking for a
Business Development Manager
to help lead this transformation, drive growth, and take our business to the next level.
The Role
As our Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for developing and executing strategies that grow both
in-store and online sales
. You'll help us build our digital presence, introduce a city-wide delivery service, manage partnerships, and create new opportunities to reach customers.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional who wants to make a real impact in a fast-moving retail environment.
Key Responsibilities1. Business Growth & Strategy
Develop and implement growth strategies to boost online and local delivery sales.
Identify new opportunities (e.g., delivery app partnerships, local couriers, tech marketplaces).
Research competitors and market trends to position Fone World competitively.
Create effective pricing, promotions, and offers to attract both online and in-store customers.
2. Online Presence & Marketing
Manage and expand Fone World's online visibility across Google, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns and social media promotions.
Work with freelancers/web designers to enhance our website with product listings, enquiry forms, and delivery options.
Produce engaging content -- photos, videos, and customer testimonials.
Track and analyze online engagement and sales performance.
3. Sales & Customer Service
Develop efficient systems for handling online enquiries, messages, and orders.
Oversee the launch of a local delivery service (via partners or in-house drivers).
Coordinate with in-store staff to sync stock, prices, and promotions.
Train staff on online sales and delivery processes.
4. Relationship Management
Build strong relationships with suppliers, wholesalers, and delivery partners.
Collaborate with local influencers or small online sellers to increase brand visibility.
Engage with the community to strengthen customer loyalty.
5. Reporting & Performance
Monitor online and in-store sales and present regular reports to the owner.
Assess ROI for marketing campaigns and new initiatives.
Identify challenges and propose effective solutions for business growth.
Key Skills & Requirements
Proven experience in business development, retail management, or marketing (preferably in tech or electronics).
Strong knowledge of social media marketing and local online advertising.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Basic understanding of e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Wix, WooCommerce, etc.).
Familiarity with digital tools like Google Ads and Meta Ads.
Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven.
Passion for technology, gadgets, and customer service.
Valid UK driving licence (preferred).
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Increase in combined online and in-store monthly sales.
Growth in online followers, leads, and conversions.
Successful launch of local delivery operations.
Improvement in online reviews and customer satisfaction.
Achievement of revenue and performance targets.
