Please note this is a homebased full time role, working 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00.

The purpose of this post is to open and develop the Food Micro and Chemistry sectors to by exploiting and opening opportunities in at Eurofins. There is a high expectation on winning new business prospects as well as managing the on-boarding process to ensure retention of new business is strong.

The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of the food testing industry with the desire to win new, profitable and sustainable business for Eurofins.

Main duties to include:

  • To Grow and develop the Food Micro and Chemistry sectors by working with colleagues across the business Europe will be critical to success to ensure we can offer the right testing methods and grow the Eurofins reputation even more.
  • Align and work with the Commercial Director to set out the plan and strategy to target new customers and increase the chance to win percentage.
  • Open doors into a new industry.
  • Work cohesively with the Business Unit Managers to maximise sales and strategy focus.
  • Work with the extended Eurofins team to help and support.
  • Fully understand each customer\'s risks and opportunities by creating / adapting customer account plans.
  • Fully understand the food micro and chemistry sector, trends, market analysis to allow a more structured approach to current and prospective customer base.
  • Exceptionally well organised to be a testing consultant to the customer base.
  • Drive the commercial new sales accounts and raise the bar in terms of attention to detail, structure and the service offered to the customer base to maximise its full potential.
  • Understand the value drivers of Eurofins to drive new business and identify profitable and commercial opportunities to grow revenue and market share through new products and the extension of services to current and new clients and emerging markets.
  • Gather and collate all market intelligence and data covering market trends and penetration, competitors, products/services and routes to market for the food micro and chemistry businesses.
  • Lead any tender opportunity that you uncover or get presented with
  • To keep up to date with the range of testing offered by Eurofins, as well as current legislation and industry best practice, and to advise customers on appropriate testing in consultation with the account managers and operations as appropriate.
  • Be familiar with customer specific requirements and retailer standards.
  • Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.
Qualifications
  • Experience in the Water testing industry - It will be of advantage to be from a account management or business development background.
  • A strong knowledge of how to be structured in business development.
  • Experience/knowledge of how to build a pipeline and how to use a CRM platform.
  • Excellent internal and external communication skills, having the ability to construct a support team to assist with winning new business.
  • Competent use of Microsoft Office and Eurofins specific systems including ComLIMS, eLIMS, CRM and online services.
  • Enthusiasm and drive, to open up new ways of bringing in business to help the growth of the business.
