Job Description


A leading US Law firm is working with us exclusively to find a new Business Development Manager on a full-time, permanent basis. Within the role, you will be responsible for driving and implementing all strategic, revenue-generating BD across the firm\'s Health & Life Sciences, Dispute and Regulatory practices.

You will be working closely with the Director of Business Development alongside colleagues based across Europe and Global Platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will work closely with the partners to write practice group business plans and drive the implementation of those plans.
  • Review and update business plans quarterly.
  • You will be the lead on drafting, compilation and production of pitches and proposals for the practice groups. This includes providing input into firm wide and panel pitches.
  • Preparing, coaching, and rehearsing partners and client teams before they deliver pitch presentations to clients as well as providing any necessary intelligence on the client and/or
  • Supporting a focused approach to the development or extension of client relationships through various existing client initiatives, including overseeing the production/monitoring of client action plans and research on target clients
  • Co-ordination and management of use of the firm\'s CRM system (SalesForce), including engaging partners in its use.
  • Managing the firm\'s relationship and interaction with external trade associations relevant to the Health, Dispute Resolution and Regulatory practice groups.
  • Liaise with multiple stakeholders across the Firm to identify our competitive advantages and bring these to life in presentations and pitches.
  • Lead and develop the other members of the London BD team, ensuring they have clear objectives and are delivering at the expected standard.
About You
  • BD & Marketing experience at a similar level in a professional services environment.
  • Health & Life Sciences, Dispute Resolution and Regulatory practices would be advantageous.
  • You will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and able to influence others to support objectives.
  • You have Advanced software skills notably Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Intranet/Internet, Salesforce.
