Your mission? Drive new member recruitment, boost engagement, and support retention through meaningful relationships and proactive outreach.

Key Responsibilities



Membership Recruitment



Proactively recruit new and previous members by communicating NAJ's value proposition. Proactive in person member visits and meetings on a weekly basis to build relationships. Deliver a recruitment plan utilising data to track, report, and review progress. Lead generation and conversion using various methods to including telephone and digital. Conduct pre-membership meetings with all applicants to ensure alignment with NAJ offerings. In person visits and meetings every week to engage proactively with potential members. Accurate CRM system use, updating data and activity such as leads and communications. Support NAJ strategies: Research, prioritise, and share lead insights with the team. Support new member onboarding to promote early awareness and adoption of benefits.

Membership Retention & Engagement



Actively promote NAJ's services, including education, training, commercial support, and events. Support renewal activities to minimise membership churn and gather insights on member needs. Proactive in person member visits and meetings on a weekly basis to build relationships. Positively represent the NAJ at trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities. Identify and address potential risks of member disengagement, escalating concerns as needed. Seek and report member feedback including sentiment, service adoption, and challenges.

Membership Administration



Maintain CRM records with accuracy, ensuring all member interactions are logged appropriately. Update and manage lead pipelines, segmenting contacts for targeted outreach efforts. Ensure compliance with data management policies and complete necessary training regularly.

Measures of Success and KPI



Achieve agreed new membership revenue and volume targets. Maintain a member retention rate as outline by Membership Manager. Meet agreed volume of proactive member outreach: in-person, telephone, and digital meetings. Maintain a positive Net Promoter Score (NPS), ensuring strong member satisfaction.

What You'll Bring



Essential



Experience in sales, business development, or membership services. Proven ability to manage leads, build pipelines, and hit targets. Strong communication and customer service skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems. A-level education or equivalent.

Desirable



Experience in a membership organisation or trade body. Knowledge of the jewellery, retail, or luxury goods sector. Degree or jewellery-related qualifications. Creative and confident using digital tools.

A natural relationship builder with a commercial and target mindset. Organised, proactive, and a team player. A strong communicator with a professional, approachable style. Open to learning, feedback, and new ideas. Based near Birmingham with a full UK driving licence and your own vehicle.
