Business Development Representative





The BDR is responsible for generating new business, lead nurturing and pre-sales activities. Jointly responsible for achieving the overall sales department goals & objectives including but not limited to driving revenue, meetings and some conference attendance with the ultimate goal of producing Net New pipeline & accelerating deal stages.







Generating new business will be driven by outbound calling, email and event campaigns. Business Development Representatives are expected to constantly deliver more - more qualified opportunities, higher conversions, and more innovative approaches. Moreover, the skills, contacts and track record that are developed in this role will play an important role in enhancing one's career potential the Sales organisation.



Key responsibilities:


Working within the new business sales team Creation and execution of outbound communications targeted to each prospect Generation of net new business leads into the sales funnel using every appropriate means Achieving targets for new leads and reporting into the sales manager in a timely and consistent manner




Ultimately, the successful candidate will be a hunter, strongly self-motivated and a driven individual.


Must be goal-oriented, methodical, tenacious, and can effectively interact over the phone, video conferencing and in person

.

Qualifications/Responsibilities




5+ years minimum of business development or sales experience achievement required in Software industry and or Insurance industry Strong interpersonal/communication skills - speaking to C level executives Entrepreneurial spirit with an aggressive hunter mentality Strong organizational skills and a self-starter Solid business acumen demonstrated in a B2B environment Ability to multitask and manage relationships internally, with customers, partners and outside consultants Knowledge of IT, Software experience mandatory and insurance industry experience is a plus. Some travel required for customer/Internal meeting/industry conferences and tradeshows Fluency English is a requirement, a second language is desirable Experience with a CRM database (preferably Hubspot)
