About the Role




We're looking for a motivated and curious

Business Development Representative (BDR)

to join our high-performing sales team. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact with prospective customers, conducting high-quality DISCO (discovery) calls to qualify interest, understand organisational challenges, and set the stage for a successful sales journey. You'll work closely with our Sales Managers and marketing team to drive pipeline growth and ensure every potential customer feels heard, understood, and excited about what Oak can offer.

What You'll Do



Simply put; starting & generating conversations with people in our key target market, and finding live opportunities for our sales team to close. Proactively research & identify potential prospects where Oak Engage can offer value. Start conversations with decision makers however you choose! We're not going to limit you to certain methods - we want your creativity. Educate prospects about Oak and the value it can provide Develop a deep understanding of our value proposition to be able to effectively communicate potential solutions to prospects pain Arranging & managing discovery calls; exploring whether a company may be a good fit as well as demonstrating why Oak Engage can add value. Qualify & arrange appointments with potential customers for our Sales Team. Maintain & expand your network within your assigned territory. Working closely with the marketing team, follow up on inbound enquiries, develop nurturing plans & share feedback on marketing campaign effectiveness. Reporting to our Head of Business Development within our Revenue department.

What We're Looking For



Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, Inquisitive with natural ability to ask great questions Organised, self-motivated, and goal-oriented with strong time management skills Comfortable using tech - you will use tools like Salesforce, Apollo, HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc. Strong ability to engage and build relationships with prospects. Naturally inquisitive - ability to ask well thought out questions. Creative, with the ability to use your own initiative, you're not afraid to push your comfort zone. Proactive and a 'Self-starter' Strong note taking skills A good student & always looking at how to improve and learn more Self aware. Organise, prioritise and manage your time effectively

Desirable:

Experience of B2B lead generation Knowledge of a typical sales process and familiarity with using a CRM & other prospecting tools. A genuine interest in employee engagement, internal communications, and modern workplaces
