We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Development Researcher to support our growth strategy by identifying new market opportunities, profiling potential clients, and providing high-quality research insights. This role is essential in helping our business development and leadership teams make data-driven decisions and expand into new markets.
Key Responsibilities
Market & Industry Research
Conduct in-depth research on market trends, industry developments, and customer needs
Analyse market size, growth potential, and competitive landscapes
Track regulatory, economic, and technological changes affecting the industry
Competitive Intelligence
Monitor competitors' product offerings, pricing, marketing strategies, and performance
Build and maintain competitive intelligence reports and databases
Identify competitive threats and differentiators
Lead & Opportunity Research
Identify and qualify potential clients, partners, or distribution channels
Create detailed profiles of target organizations and key decision-makers
Support outbound prospecting with data-backed insights
Strategic Insights & Support
Provide research to support new business proposals, pitch decks, and partnership discussions
Assist in evaluating new markets, customer segments, and expansion opportunities
Collaborate with the business development team to shape growth strategies
Data Analysis & Reporting
Synthesise data into actionable insights, summaries, and recommendations
Maintain dashboards, CRM records, and research documentation
Present findings clearly to cross-functional teams and leadership
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Data Analytics, or related field
Strong research and analytical skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Proficiency with MS Excel, Google Sheets, and research tools
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
Preferred
Knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Glenniganst)
Background in B2B research, consulting, business development, or strategy roles
