Role Overview
This is a critical role focused on generating new business opportunities and building the foundation for long-term customer relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and engaging potential clients across the UK manufacturing and warehouse sectors. The role is highly prospecting-oriented and requires someone who is confident initiating first contact through social media outreach, email campaigns, and direct telephone conversations.
Key Responsibilities
Research and identify prospective clients within target sectors.
Conduct outbound outreach via LinkedIn, email, and phone to establish initial contact with decision-makers.
Craft tailored messaging to engage leads and promote the company's automation solutions.
Secure appointments and introductory meetings for the wider sales and technical teams.
Maintain accurate records of activity within the CRM and continuously monitor outreach performance.
Collaborate with marketing and business development colleagues to refine messaging and targeting.
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience in a lead generation, business development, or outbound sales role.
Background or familiarity with engineering, manufacturing, or automation sectors is highly desirable.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
Confidence in engaging cold prospects and managing follow-up communications.
Organised, self-motivated, and results-oriented with a proactive mindset.
Competent with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.
