Business Development Support Executive

About the Role
This is a key support role within a growing and commercially focused healthcare business. Working closely with the Chief Commercial Officer and Business Development team, you will help manage bids, proposals, contracts, reporting, and marketing activity.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, confident in writing and coordination, and interested in developing their career in business development, bids, or marketing within a healthcare environment. You will be relied upon by senior leadership and play a central role in ensuring commercial activity runs smoothly and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Bid Management & Proposal Writing
Coordinate, write, edit, and submit high-quality bids, tenders, and proposals.
Work closely with Business Development leads and/or a bid writer to develop tailored content, key themes, and persuasive narratives.
Manage bid timelines, clarifications, approvals, and final submissions to ensure deadlines are met.
Coordinate internal inputs, including clinical, operational, and financial sign-off.
Maintain and continuously improve a central bid library (case studies, CVs, company information, credentials).
Contract & Commercial Administration
Support the administration of proposals and contracts.
Track contract expiry dates and flag renewals to the CCO/Operations Director, ensuring follow-up meetings are scheduled.
Ensure finance are kept informed of any contractual or charging changes.
Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation.
Events & CPD Programme Management
Plan, promote, and deliver monthly CPD and networking events.
Source and liaise with internal and external speakers.
Coordinate venues, invitations, marketing, attendance tracking, and on-the-day delivery.
Manage post-event follow-up and performance evaluation.
Marketing & Communications Support
Develop and send monthly mailshots and client communications.
Plan and schedule regular social media activity aligned to business priorities and events.
Manage and update website content to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Update marketing materials including brochures, slide decks, templates, and presentations.
Work with the BD team to gather testimonials and case studies for bids and marketing use.
Reporting & Collaboration
Produce monthly Business Development reports and performance statistics.
Monitor the effectiveness of bids, events, and marketing activity.
Work collaboratively with Service Delivery, Recruitment, and Finance to support joined-up commercial activity.
Skills & Experience
Strong written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
Confidence managing multiple deadlines and priorities.
Experience in bid writing, business support, communications and marketing (healthcare, B2B preferred).
Comfortable coordinating stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally.
Organised, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of processes.
Practical experience using social media, websites, email platforms, and document templates.

Pay: 40,000.00-50,000.00 per year
