Job Introduction

The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority is seeking to appoint a Project Officer to join the Business Growth team. Working in a specialist service area that supports the development, delivery and monitoring of projects, programmes and initiatives, you will play a vital role in the delivery of some of the Mayoral Combined Authorities key projects, with a focus on the continued success of the West of England Good Employment Charter.


Core to the Project Officer role will be the ability to work confidently across a range of project disciplines and related tasks, ensuring the successful delivery of the Charter. These include:

Business engagement. Marketing and communication, able to support with the production of written content, web content, emails and promotional documents to a high standard. Event management. Stakeholder management.

The salary for this role is 38,220 - 41,771. This is the full-time equivalent salary, and will be pro-rata for part-time. We advertise salary ranges for job roles, with new appointments for external candidates typically starting at the lowest salary point. In exceptional cases, where higher skill levels or experience are applicable, the salary point may be adjusted to secure the best candidate. This approach allows for potential year-on-year salary increases, offering progression and appropriate rewards to employees.
