Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking 2 highly skilled and motivated Business Intelligence Developers to join our Performance and Data Team within the children and Young People's Directorate. These are key roles in shaping and delivering high-quality performance reporting and business intelligence that supports strategic decision making and service improvement, with the implementation of the new Education System (EYES).
These roles are vital in supporting the transition to the new platform, ensuring continuity and accuracy of developing data reporting across Children's Centres, the Youth Justice Service, and Early Years and Education (EYES).
A key focus will be on supporting statutory data collections, ensuring that reporting structures and data flows are correctly configured and maintained throughout the migration process. You will act as a subject matter expert on Core+ and Capita configuration, with a focus on reporting structures and data flows.
What we are look for:
Extensive experience in SQL (Structured Query Language) at an advanced level, using SQL server reporting tools to create and develop complex SQL scripts from multiple data sources, to integrate and transform data
Extensive experience of using data visualisation tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience working within a performance management framework
Ability to communicate complex information clearly to a range of audiences
A level 7 qualification (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field
Key Responsibilities:
Extracting, integrating, and analysing complex data from multiple systems using advanced SQL
Developing and presenting data visualisations using tools such as Power BI, SSRS, Visual Studio, and Excel
Leading and supporting colleagues to ensure effective service delivery and project outcomes
Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to improve data quality and share insights
Producing and maintaining user friendly reports and dashboards that display complex performance information and statutory data to a wide range of audiences
Contribute to service improvement initiative
