As a Business Manager at our Volkswagen dealership, you will play a critical role in delivering finance performance within the sales department. You will be responsible for advising customers on suitable finance products, maintaining compliance and supporting the sales team in achieving revenue and customer satisfaction targets.
About The Role
Key Responsibilities
Finance Sales:
+ Present tailored finance packages, warranties and value-added services to customers.
+ Ensure all options are clearly explained in a transparent and compliant manner.
Customer Experience:
+ Deliver a premium customer experience consistent with Volkswagen brand values.
+ Build trust-based relationships with customers to ensure long-term loyalty and retention.
+ Oversee and maintain a robust customer finance renewal strategy.
Compliance & Documentation:
+ Ensure all financial agreements are completed accurately and comply with FCA and company regulations.
+ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all relevant legislation and internal procedures.
Sales Support & Team Collaboration:
+ Work closely with the sales team to ensure finance is introduced early in the sales process.
+ Monitor and analyse performance, providing coaching and feedback to sales staff as needed.
+ Report regularly on finance penetration rates and profitability to management.
Relationship Management:
+ Liaise with Volkswagen Financial Services and third-party finance providers to stay current with product offerings and promotions.
+ Maintain strong working relationships with internal departments, including aftersales and marketing.
Key Skills & Attributes
Strong background in automotive finance or business management within a franchised dealership.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
High level of professionalism and integrity.
Commercial awareness and ability to interpret performance metrics.
Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
Proven ability to work under pressure in a target-driven environment.
Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience as a Business Manager or Senior Sales Executive in the motor trade (Volkswagen experience preferred).
FCA accreditation and understanding of compliance in automotive finance.
Full UK driving licence.
IT proficiency, particularly in DMS, CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
