Fixed-Term until 31 March 2026

(with potential for extension, subject to changes in the NHS landscape and impact on representative committees)

Hours:

32 - 35 hours a week (Monday to Friday, hybrid working)

Salary:

22,502 - 28,127 (32 hours) or 24,611 - 30,764 (35 hours), dependent on experience.

What you will do:



The Business Officer is responsible for the overall office administration and provides crucial support to the Chief Officer and Deputy Chief Officer.

Own all office management functions

including Health & Safety, IT support, and ensuring operational efficiencies.

Lead on Financial and HR Administration

, including payroll, finance processing, budgeting, HR policies, and recruitment support.

Provide comprehensive Committee Governance and Administration

, including minute taking, paper preparation, and managing committee consultations.

Deputise for the Engagement Officer

and support key communications (website/social media), event coordination (including the AGM), and contractor engagement.

Your toolkit:



Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar administrative role.

Clear communicator, both verbal and written, with proven ability to provide efficient administrative support, take concise minutes, and write reports.

IT Proficient with web technology and all MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Highly reliable, organised, with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload.

Ability to work closely and collaboratively with the Engagement Officer and the wider team.
