About The Role FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Business Process Analyst to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 5-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Barnsley. Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Business Process Analyst to support and optimise their HAM operations. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in business process analysis with hands-on experience in IT asset lifecycle management, helping to drive efficiency, compliance, and strategic improvements across the HAM function. Responsibilities
Analyse and document current HAM processes, covering procurement, deployment, maintenance, and end-of-life/disposal stages
Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend actionable process improvements
Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Procurement, and Finance teams to streamline asset management workflows
Support the implementation and enhancement of HAM tools and platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera)
Ensure HAM practices comply with internal policies, standards, and external regulatory requirements
Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPIs to track hardware asset performance and utilisation metrics
