The ideal candidate will have a proven history of delivering measurable business results, alongside strong experience in developing and maintaining effective relationships with clients and suppliers, both new and existing.
Reporting directly to the Business Development Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of existing business partners, while also identifying and securing new sales opportunities.
They will represent Cogent Hire's services to prospective clients, enhancing our market presence and contributing to business growth. In addition, the role involves gathering competitor insights and tracking industry trends to help inform and shape our strategic direction.
Responsibilities
Work with an existing portfolio of business partners to achieve agreed sales targets while building strong working relationships across all management levels with these partners
Work with the sales team to create and present new strategies to successfully secure business and increase revenue
Build relationships with new business partners to ensure their confidence in Cogent Hire and gauge their business needs
Working with marketing when necessary to create sales materials and power points to present to new and existing business partners
Ensure new business partners are onboarded effectively, collaborating across operational departments, using our implementation tools to ensure all requirements are communicated and understood
Attend industry events including conferences and award evenings to build relationships within the industry, stay up to date with industry knowledge and enhance the company reputation through promotion of our brand values
Assist with the creation of sale forecasts and actively monitor sales progression to ensure that targets are being achieved and exceeded
The creation of a sales pipeline and reporting in respect of activities completed and planned
Ensure prompt follow up action to all meetings including communication to new and existing business partners, setting next meetings, completion of pipeline and work with other managers to complete required actions
Work collaboratively with the business to understand services and ensure the smooth implementation of new business
Provide continuous and constructive feedback to the business about the market and business partners and report back in respect of meetings with those business partners to ensure business alignment and proactive relationship management
Work with compliance and legal functions to explain and review any relevant documentation including NDA and sales contracts
Work with Finance teams in respect of sales forecasts, marketing costs and referral fees or other relevant sales related issues
Skills Required
Enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who enjoys collaborating with people at all levels
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to sell concepts and services with enthusiasm for the company and its growth
Effective problem-solving with a strategic and creative mind
Strong organisational, time management and project based skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and self-manage a busy workload and diary.
Detailed understanding of the company services, the competition in the industry and positioning
Experience
Solid understanding of the motor insurance market and credit hire principles
Proven success in sales and relationship-based roles with set targets
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence outcomes effectively
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
Qualifications
Knowledge and experience within the motor industry is essential
Working knowledge of necessary software programmes including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Additional Skills
Willingness to travel and when required stay overnight
Knowledge of business and sales growth techniques

Pay: 35,000.00-45,000.00 per year
