We have an exciting role for an individual to join the Wealth Management Europe (WME) Business Risk function to act as a Business Risk Manager. We are seeking a genuine, driven, and ambitious individual who is passionate about risk management and who has a good understanding of the investment management and broader financial services industry.
RBC's expectation is that from mid-September 2025, all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.
What will you do?
Support the WME business across the end-to-end internal/external audit process, ensuring all audits are managed efficiently and effectively.
Ensuring that all audit goals are achieved with minimal impact to the business.
Partner with 1LOD to ensure audit-specific risk behaviours are well embedded across the WME organisation, and act as the conduit between the WME functions, 2LOD, and 3LOD Audit (Internal/External/Regulatory) to ensure effective engagement and consistency throughout the audit lifecycle.
Provide a complete view and syndication of audit plans across WME, by early engagement across all planned audit activity.
Act as an interface between auditor and auditee, ensuring audit requests are fulfilled efficiently and with minimal impact to stakeholders.
Liaise with auditor and auditee to review and confirm audit observations and findings, and to ensure audits are signed off in timely fashion.
Partner with the auditee to ensure all audit findings are addressed within agreed timescales.
Work with Risk Issue owners to ensure sufficient information is recorded and maintained within Archer and that Risk profiles are maintained.
Lead the WME Business Risk activity in the development of other reporting and risk profiles (e.g. Data Risk Profile)
Drive improvements to the Business risk management capability.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Good awareness and knowledge of Risk and audit management activity.
Strong analytical skills.
Proficient in the design and build of suitable presentation material for an executive level audience.
Proficient negotiation and influencing skills.
Experience in relationship and stakeholder Management.
Nice-to-have
Technical / professional qualifications: CISA, CGEIT, CIA, CRMA, CCSA or equivalent.
