Job Purpose

We are seeking a motivated, knowledgeable, and dedicated Business Teacher to join our teaching team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and rigorous lessons that foster a strong understanding of business principles and encourage entrepreneurial thinking in students across Key Stages 3 and 4, including GCSE Business Studies.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Business lessons tailored to a range of learner abilities Teach Business Studies across Key Stage 3 and 4, with a focus on GCSE content Inspire a passion for business, enterprise, and economics among students Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing effective feedback Contribute to the development and continual improvement of the Business curriculum Maintain up-to-date knowledge of national curriculum requirements and GCSE specifications Set high standards for student behaviour, effort, and attainment Support students in developing practical business skills, critical thinking, and financial literacy Participate in school-wide events including parents' evenings and open days Contribute to extracurricular opportunities related to business, enterprise, and economics Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and raise standards Engage in CPD, training sessions, and performance management reviews
Person Specification

Essential:

A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) A degree in Business, Economics, or a related subject Experience teaching Business at KS3 and KS4 Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Business education Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills High expectations for all students, regardless of background or ability Commitment to ongoing professional development A willingness to uphold and support the Islamic ethos and values of the school
Desirable:

Experience in a faith-based or independent school setting Familiarity with the ethos of Islamic education A track record of improving outcomes in Business at GCSE level
