Petty Pool Vocational College, based in Sandiway, near Northwich offers 16-19 Study Programmes and Supported Internships into employment for up to 115 students with learning disabilities and difficulties. The other areas of the charity encompass a busy Outdoor Education Centre (OEC) - working with over 10,000 visitors per year, alongside Petty Pool in the Community (PPC) - supporting people with learning disabilities and difficulties outside of education with personal development, social engagement and life skills through a variety of creative, educational, and wellbeing activities.
As the Business Support Administrator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality administrative support to ensure the effective coordination and operation of the community provision for young adults with learning disabilities and difficulties. The role focuses exclusively on managing the administrative functions that underpin service delivery.
About you
You will have proven administrative experience and strong communication skills, both written and verbal. You are confident working within a busy and diverse team and can manage competing priorities effectively. Excellent time management, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a proactive approach to organising tasks are essential.
Role Specific Responsibilities.
Act as the first point of contact for enquiries
Manage incoming calls and emails, disseminating information and coordinating timely responses.
Attend and contribute to regular meetings at various locations locally
Maintain confidentiality at all times in handling sensitive information.
Work collaboratively with the wider business support team, sharing ideas and supporting team objectives.
Creating and maintaining a highly professional environment
Support with the administration of events and activities
Produce data monitoring reports to support service delivery and evaluation.
Provide efficient administration support to PPC teams
Liaising with the finance team regarding invoices and reports from MIS systems
Update member personal information as required
Maintain our member and staff timetables on the MIS system
Monitoring, identifying and updating data on registers
Maintenance of MIS system including staff, member and general updates
Person Specification
Qualifications and Experience
English and Maths GCSE or equivalent at grade C/4 or above (E)
Proven experience in an administrative role (E)
Familiarity with safeguarding and GDPR. (E)
Experience of working with MIS and CRM systems (E)
Experience of people with learning disabilities and difficulties (D)
Knowledge and Skills
Full clean Driving Licence (Car) (E)
Ability to travel off-site for team meetings (E)
Knowledge of Inclusion, Equality & Diversity, Safeguarding policy (D)
