About the role
Due to our continued growth, we are excited to be recruiting for a Business and office manager to join our team in Cumbria. Reporting into the Group Business manager, this role is for 30 hours per week, working remotely, but attending our site at Cockermouth hospital one day a week.
Reward package
Salary 30,000 - 40,000 per annum, negotiable subject to qualifications and experience.
Discretionary 10% annual bonus.
33 days of annual leave p.a. (including UK statutory bank holidays;) rising every 2 years to a maximum of 36 days p.a.

Overview of the job
The Business Support Manager plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of Carveti Partnership (the "Company") by providing support to the Operational Head and the wider team. This role involves overseeing business processes and contributing to operational activities. Additionally, the Business Support Manager will be active in fulfilling business objectives aligned with Carveti Group's wider strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include all tasks required within:
Operational Support
Contribute to the management of the FM Service Delivery across the Company's portfolio.
Assist the Building Manager at Cockermouth Community Hospital & Cleator Moor Health Centre with tenant liaison.
Support Building Managers with administration and reporting as necessary.
Corporate Support:
Organise, compile reports, and take minutes for Company meetings.
Manage and maintain the Company's corporate diary, ensuring efficient scheduling.
Support the development and continuous improvement of Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Assist operational staff and consultants with administrative needs.
Maintain the Company's document management system, ensuring compliance with Group and Company procedures.
Monitor and manage the Company's general enquiries email inbox, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.
Support the Company's optimisation of CMap, (the project/business management IT system) in accordance with Group procedures.
Contribute to the preparation of management and Board reports.
Assist in organising Group team days and events where required by the Group Business Manager and/or Directors.
Assist with the renewal of insurance policies where required by the Group Business Manager and/or Directors.
Update and maintain the Group's website with Company updates.
Update the Company's LinkedIn page with relevant content.
Support the Group with office leasing, consumables, and IT equipment administration for the Company.
Work alongside the Group's HR Manager on recruitment, onboarding, and staff training initiatives.
Financial and Commercial Support:
Assist in preparing fee proposals and tenders, ensuring deadlines are met.
Generate monthly invoices and issue to Clients for payment.
Work closely with the Finance team on accounts-related matters.
Monitor income generation against business plans and provide regular updates.
Track fees versus planned budgets, highlighting any concerns.
Manage the monthly credit card reconciliation for all Company transactions.
Review and compile monthly staff expense claims for submission to the Finance team.
Compliance Support:
Under direction of the Group Business Manager, collaborate in requirements to align Company operations with overall business goals.
Contribute on behalf of the Company to the Quality Management Group (QMG) by undertaking actions required to maintain the Group's ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 accreditations, as well as Cyber Essentials certification and GDPR compliance.
Ensure registers, SOPs, policies, and documentation relevant to the Company are up to date and aligned with the Group standards and requirements identified by the QMG.
Represent the Company in internal system and process audits conducted by the QMG.
Contribute to external audits of our ISO systems by supplying information and documentation evidence relating to the Company, in accordance with accreditation standards.
