The Role
We are seeking a proactive and organised Business Support Nurse to join our dynamic team. This hybrid position combines clinical dental nursing with business support and operational responsibilities across our practices. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting staff, implementing best practices, and ensuring high standards of care, compliance, and efficiency.Key Responsibilities
Provide high quality dental nursing support to clinicians and patients, ensuring adherence to GDC and practice standards
Support induction, training, and ongoing development of dental nurses and staff
Oversee compliance with operational, clinical, and infection control protocols
Collaborate with the Operations Manager and Group Manager to deliver training, monitor progress, and identify gaps
Supervise and mentor dental nurses, including trainees, and provide feedback on performance
Assist with recruitment, induction, appraisals, and CPD planning for the dental nursing team
Manage stock, clinical inventory, and equipment maintenance
Carry out audits, mystery shopping, and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Support compliance with patient journey processes and implement necessary updates
Maintain patient and staff confidentiality at all times
Liaise with practice managers and local leads to support operational efficiency and team performance
Assist with practice meetings, minute-taking, and general administrative duties
Contribute to marketing and patient experience initiatives as required
About You
GDC-registered Dental Nurse with relevant experience (Head/Lead Nurse experience advantageous)
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Confident in mentoring and supporting colleagues at all levels
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement
Familiarity with dental software and practice management systems
Commitment to ongoing CPD and professional development
