Job Title: Business Support and Information Officer - Youth Access Point
Location: Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole (BCP) Council. The role is predominately based at Number 18- Youth Access Point
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 22.2 hours per week over 3 days

Role Purpose
You will be the welcoming face of the Youth Access Points/Family Hubs, ensuring all visitors, particularly children, young people and families, receive a friendly and helpful front-of-house service. Your role will involve providing efficient administrative support to staff, managing data, and ensuring the smooth operation at the sites.
Main Responsibilities
Provide the reception role, welcoming, assisting visitors and providing information, advice and guidance.
Manage data input and updates on the Management Information Systems.
Administer Request for Support forms, Early Help referrals, and other relevant processes.
Maintain a clean and tidy reception area with up-to-date displays.
Handle sensitive and contentious enquiries professionally.
Monitor and update social media sites as needed.
Liaise with Asset Management and Property Services to ensure building services are up to date.
Organise fire drills, health and safety checks, and maintain first aid kits.
Provide administrative support for the service.
Use the BCP financial system for purchasing within budgets.
Maintain and update timetables, leaflets, and literature.
Support the delivery of Early Help groups and events.
Assist with recruitment and induction processes.
Ensure compliance with Data Protection and Health and Safety regulations.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have significant administration experience in a busy office environment. They should be proficient in taking minutes at meetings and using various IT software packages, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and management information systems. A minimum of 2 A Levels or equivalent experience is required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role. The candidate should be able to work effectively as part of a team and under minimal supervision. They should have a strong commitment to customer care and delivering high-quality services. Additionally, the ideal candidate should demonstrate a willingness to undertake further training and development to support their administrative work. They should be adaptable, professional, and have a positive approach to work.
