Overview

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Support Officer to join our well-established Helping Hand Team.

Our Helping Hand team is available to help individuals or families in need, those on low incomes and those who are experiencing a financial emergency or crisis

This is an exciting opportunity for you to develop and expand responsibilities over the coming months.

The service area you will be supporting is a fast-paced and friendly team who are passionate about providing services to our residents which will help strengthen our communities, protect the vulnerable, improve our environment and increase prosperity within Buckinghamshire.

Any-Desk:

As an \'any-desk\' worker, you\'ll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements*.

About you

We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated with a willingness to learn. You will be working as part of a busy team and will need to be able to work collaboratively but also independently using your own initiative. You will already have a strong administrative background and also be able to demonstrate the following key skills and behaviours:

  • Work at a fast pace
  • Ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Sensitivity and empathy when speaking to residents or clients
  • Approachable with a \'can do\' attitude and strong customer service skills
  • Professional at all times
  • A good knowledge of MS Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous, but not essential as training will be given.
  • Previous experience of note taking would be beneficial but coaching and mentoring will be offered
Other information

The team are currently working in office/work from home, the arrangements are 2 days a week in the office.

About the Business Unit

Resources cover a wide range of specialisms, including Human Resources, Finance, ICT and Business Operations.
