Role Overview
As a Business Support Partner, you will play a pivotal role in enabling the PSSM organisation at Sandwich and the global Small Molecule Portfolio Strategy group to operate efficiently and collaboratively. You will deliver high-impact administrative and business support, drive process excellence, foster communication, and support culture-building initiatives. Your proactive mindset, communication strengths, and ability to connect teams will contribute directly to PSSM's 2030 vision and global impact.
Key Responsibilities
You will act as a trusted partner and be responsible for a broad range of essential business support activities, including:
Managing global calendars, complex domestic and international travel, and high-profile onsite/offsite meetings
Providing advisory administrative support across the PSSM community
Coordinating site communications, including SharePoint/Teams content and local/global town halls
Leading the development and publishing of the Global SMPS Newsletter
Supporting and leading non-portfolio initiatives, including process improvements and adoption of new technology (e.g., AI)
Managing allocated budgets responsibly
Maintaining strict confidentiality in sensitive matters
Driving local and global culture, people engagement, and inclusion initiatives
Promoting strong collaboration and connections across all teams at Sandwich and within global networks

Skills & Experience -- Must Have
Demonstrated excellence in senior administrative roles with urgency and accountability
Ability to independently manage priorities with strong time-management skills
High proficiency with Microsoft applications and SharePoint
Strong interpersonal skills; builds trust at all levels
Project management capability
Confident decision-making with limited information
Solutions-driven mindset and continuous improvement orientation
Able to work independently while thriving in local and global team environments
High level of professionalism and confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications -- Nice to Have
Experience working in a global business support role
Prior experience within the organisation
Knowledge of ARIBA, PT&E, and other enterprise systems
Creative approach to event support and communication engagement (adding "Joy" to organisational culture)
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37 per week
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Kent, CT13 9NJ
