With the support of the Global Business Systems Manager you will oversee the provision of a comprehensive system support function for the company's global business systems, as well as maintaining and developing the I.T. systems strategic roadmap. The goal is to maintain & improve business efficiency through the use of technology, whilst ensuring all activities related to Information Technology are coordinated, effective, and secure through proper oversight and guidance.
This role is a key part of our succession plans, with the expectation that the role holder will work alongside and then be ready to take over from the Global Business Systems Manager within 18 months.
Responsibilities:

To participate in reviewing and updating the strategic plan for all information systems. Helping to prioritise, seek approval and implement process and information system improvement activities that support the achievement of business objectives and simplify/modernise the divisional technology footprint.
Benchmark, analyse, report on, create business cases and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems. Then project manage divisional / business unit technology implementations.
Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision. Maintaining knowledge of emerging technologies to evaluate new solutions and assess their relevance or potential value to the organization.
To be responsible for maintaining and providing user support for the Company's database systems and 2nd level user support for the company's computers systems as required.
To actively participate in the design and development of the Company's database and software systems, whilst maintaining responsibility for Software licensing.
