Role overview:



As a Business Systems Developer you will play a critical role in supporting Tes to leverage the multiple business systems to support key business objectives.



You will be a member of the Business Systems team and work as part of a group of business application specialists. You will report into the Business Systems Manager but will take guidance from the Application Leads at a daily, operational level.



As such, you will support the management of Business Systems support tickets received through the service desk and support the delivery of systems-related projects. By following an agile delivery approach, you will also take documented solutions to development, into testing and through to deployment. The role is Sheffield office based. Can work 2 days remotely once established in role.



Key Responsibilities:



Proactively and continually drive and update your own development and knowledge of Business Systems. Understand and continually increase knowledge of Tes's internal business systems. Follow specifications for development items meticulously, with a keen eye for detail. Test the development items (QA) of other team members before passing them to the business users for UAT. If required and appropriate, draft technical design and implementation documents. Communicate openly with team members and internal customers to provide updates on the delivery. Share knowledge with direct team members and the wider business. Provide demos and/or light training for users where appropriate.

What will you need to succeed?

Essential Skills

Experience with programme languages such as APEX, Javascript, JSON, SuiteScript, SOQL. Understanding and evidence of working with Event based architecture and strong understanding of API integrations. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience of liaising across multiple departments / disciplines. Understanding and experience of Quote to order and order to cash journeys and associated business processes. Meticulous attention to detail and an ability to adhere to agile/business processes. Ability to prioritize and multi-task with a flexible approach to work. Logical thinking and problem-solving ability. Experience of/training in agile IT delivery methodologies.

Desirable Skills

Experience of CPQ within Salesforce. Development experience in Business systems that includes Salesforce and NetSuite. Salesforce Certifications, NetSuite Developer Certifications Previous experience with related business systems / technologies such as AWS, Coupa, Stripe, Service Now, Freshdesk, Canvas, DotDigital, Docusign, Hubspot, AWS EventBridge. Knowledge of the education, media or publishing industries.
