Walter Smith have been Award-Winning Butchers and Farmers since 1885 with a number of retail and farm shops throughout the UK. We are famous for our award-winning pork pies which received nationwide coverage after being crowned Supreme Champion at the Great Taste Awards, whilst regularly winning regional and national awards for our meat related products.

We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced butcher to join our well-established team working as Assistant Manager within our Farm Shop within Melbicks Garden Centre at Coleshill, near to Birmingham Airport.

We are looking for someone with drive and enthusiasm to contribute to pushing the shop to the highest levels. The successful applicant will understand the ins and outs of working within a busy environment, balancing the needs of the shop, and will also possess a keen interest in creating new and innovative products whilst taking pride in delivering the finest quality products to our customers.

Full support and training will be given in the production of our award winning fine foods, along with training and certification to progress your knowledge through the trade, including entering industry competitions.

The position is full time (42.5 hours) working across a 7 day rota.

Flexible working days and hours.

Basic Pay up to 31,500 + Commission (depending upon experience)
