Job Description

The Butcher of Brogdale is a family-run business with a proud reputation for providing the highest quality meats at the best possible prices. We are excited to be opening a brand-new branch within Longacres Garden Centre in Bagshot, due to open in September.

In preparation for the launch, successful applicants will begin working and undergoing training at our busy Ruxley Manor store until the new branch is fully operational.

About the Role

As a trained butcher, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of our new branch, ensuring customers receive excellent service and the freshest quality meat. This is a hands-on position that requires skill, precision, and passion for the craft of butchery.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, cut, and display a wide range of meats to the highest standards. Advise and serve customers, delivering exceptional service and product knowledge. Maintain stock levels and ensure the shop is clean, organised, and presentable at all times. Ensure strict compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations. Work closely with the Branch Manager to achieve sales targets and drive business growth.
About You:

Fully trained butcher with proven experience in a retail or wholesale environment. Skilled in all aspects of butchery, including breaking down carcasses, portion control, and presentation. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable manner. Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality products. Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work well as part of a team.
