We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food production and a strong understanding of culinary practices. As a Butcher, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meat products, ensuring food safety standards are met, and providing exceptional service to our customers. This role is essential in maintaining the quality and freshness of our offerings while contributing to a positive kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cut various types of meat, including beef, pork, lamb, and poultry, according to specific customer requests and recipes. Ensure all meat products are handled and stored in compliance with food safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including tools and equipment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of meat products for service. Monitor inventory levels of meat supplies and assist in ordering as needed. Provide knowledgeable advice to customers regarding different cuts of meat and cooking techniques. Perform regular maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Experience

Previous experience as a Butcher or in a similar culinary role is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practices related to meat handling. Familiarity with various cutting techniques and tools used in food preparation. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are essential.
