Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of food items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food production meets safety and hygiene regulations, adhering to food safety protocols at all times. Assist in butchery tasks, including the preparation of meat products for cooking or sale. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages or needs to management. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.

Experience

Proven experience in food production, preferably within a commercial kitchen or restaurant environment. Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are highly desirable. Strong understanding of food preparation techniques and butchery skills. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential. Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen setting is an advantage, demonstrating the ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality standards. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
