Duties
Prepare and cut various types of meat, including beef, pork, lamb, and poultry, according to specifications.
Ensure all meat products are handled, stored, and displayed in compliance with food safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the butcher area and kitchen equipment.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and placing orders as necessary.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfil specific meat preparation requests for menu items.
Provide excellent customer service by answering queries related to meat products and offering recommendations.
Stay updated on industry trends and techniques related to butchery and food preparation.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Butcher or in a similar role within the food production or culinary industry.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Proficiency in various cutting techniques and equipment used in butchery.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
