Responsibilities
Prepare and cut various types of meat, including beef, pork, lamb, and poultry, according to specifications.
Ensure all meat products are handled, stored, and displayed in compliance with food safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the butcher area, including tools and equipment.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfil orders efficiently and accurately.
Monitor inventory levels of meat products and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about meat cuts and preparation methods.
Adhere to all health and safety guidelines while performing duties.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Butcher or in a similar role within the culinary or food production industry is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
Proficient in various cutting techniques and familiar with different types of meat.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
