We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Butcher to join our team. As a Butcher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality meat products are prepared and presented to our customers. Your expertise will contribute to the overall success of our kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cut various types of meat, including beef, pork, lamb, and poultry, according to specifications. Ensure all meat products are handled and stored in compliance with food safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the butcher area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly sanitised. Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels of meat products and reporting any shortages. Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfil orders efficiently and ensure timely service. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about meat products and offering recommendations. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to food preparation and safety.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation or production, preferably within a kitchen or restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practices. Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various butchering techniques. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to continuously improve skills within the field.

Pay: 31,000.00-38,700.00 per year
