Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking
Saturday Butchery Assistant
to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a keen interest in fresh meat preparation, excellent customer service skills, and a strong focus on food hygiene. You will support the butchers in preparing, packaging, and serving meat products while ensuring the counter is clean, well-stocked, and presented to a high standard.Key Duties and Responsibilities
Provide friendly customer service Weigh, package and label products accurately to meet customer and store order requests Prepare pre-packed items for sale as directed Follow all food safety, hygiene and allergen control procedures Keep work areas, tools and equipment clean and sanitised at all times Help with unpacking and storing deliveries Rotate stock and check dates to maintain freshness and reduce waste Communicate effectively with colleagues & managers
Requirements
Previous experience in a butchery or fresh food environment preferred (training can be provided). Knowledge of meat cuts and preparation methods is an advantage. Strong attention to detail and commitment to food hygiene standards. Friendly, approachable manner with good customer service skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour
Work Location: In person
