Job Description

Due to continued expansion, we are looking for a skilled Butchery Assistant Manager. This diverse business operates a medium scale catering division as well as an ever-expanding retail shop and online butchery shop. The business specializes in producing and selling their own farm reared Aberdeen Angus Beef & outdoor bred Duroc cross Pork from the commercial unit based on the farm at Winfrith Newburgh. We also supply fresh fruit and vegetables as well as our own range of freshly prepared vegetables from our sister site at Weymouth.

This role is suited to someone who is organised, well structured and has experience in managing a team of staff. The role will involve managing the butchery department from; staffing, orders, training new staff, and ensuring that all orders are completed in a timely manner. We currently supply around 100-150 outlets which consists of: pubs, restaurants, schools, and hospitals.

The Role

Full carcass butchery of Beef, Lamb, Pork, and Poultry.

Competent at portion control cutting.

. Be competent at managing a team of staff in order to make sure that all orders are processed successfully each day.

. Be able to manage the weekly staff rota's.

Work efficiently to a high standard to meet customers individual requirements.

Be capable of stock rotation.

Be capable of being able to conduct yield calculations.

Deliver an outstanding experience to all customers.

The Candidate

Excellent customer service and sales skills

Be a good communicator to butchery team, management team and customers.

Be honest, reliable, and dedicated.

Knowledge of HACCP is essential.

Be physically fit as the work can be very demanding.

Package & Benefits

Hours: Monday - Friday 4:30 - 13:00, Saturdays 4:30 - 9:30 (every other Saturday)
