beef and lamb on our own working farm

Key Responsibilities:
Serve customers in a polite, professional, and efficient manner
Prepare, cut, weigh, and pack fresh meat to customer specifications
Offer advice on cuts of meat, preparation methods, and recipe ideas
Prepare value-added products
Contribute to new product ideas
Ensure the counter and displays are well-stocked, clean, and visually appealing
Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, food safety, and health & safety at all times
Support with receiving deliveries, stock rotation, and stock checks
Operate equipment (e.g., slicers, scales) safely and effectively
Assist with setting up and breaking down the counter each day
Contribute to a friendly, team-focused work environment that reflects the farm shop's ethos
Key Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in a butchery, deli, or food retail role
Basic knowledge of meat cuts and butchery techniques is an advantage
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Physically fit and able to lift moderate weights
A genuine interest in quality, locally produced food
Flexibility to work weekends and seasonal shifts
