Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Butchery supervisor to oversee our butchery operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong butchery skills, food production, and food safety, supervisory experience and able to meet the highest standards of quality and hygiene. As a key member of our team, you will manage daily operations, lead a team of butchers, and maintain an efficient workflow in the butchery department.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the butchery team to ensure efficient operations. Oversee the preparation and cutting of meat products according to specifications and customer requirements. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the butchery area. Train and mentor staff on best practices in butchery techniques, food preparation, and safety protocols. Monitor inventory levels and manage stock control to minimise waste while ensuring product availability. Implement quality control measures to ensure that all products meet company standards for freshness and presentation.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a butcher. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations related to meat handling and preparation. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership skills with experience in managing a team effectively.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 04:00-12:30 and 1 in 3 Saturdays, 6:30-9:00.

The salary is dependent on experience, and ranges from 33,000 to 35,000.
