About the Role

To work closely with business and functional leads, providing purchasing support across a wide range of Indirect spend (Goods & Services).

Day to day

To source, negotiate and purchase a range of agreed goods and services in line with current procurement policies and procedures always ensuring Xtrac's spend is leveraged as effectively as possible. To create and implement strategic supply chain initiatives aimed at reducing costs and improving operational efficiencies through developing a clear understanding of cross functional requirements and wider business needs. Develop a set of reporting tools to demonstrate and track progress against all indirect spend initiatives. Over time become Xtrac's Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all indirect spend procurement. To coach and provide feedback to key stakeholders to help improve business efficiency on procurement related issues. Support the Procurement Director where required with Indirect Project initiatives and/or high value Cap Ex purchases. Support the Procurement Director with process improvements where identified, ensuring timely execution and implementation.

About You

Preferably experience in managing indirect spend across multiple categories incl: Facilities, EH&S, Operations, IT, Warehousing, Office Equip/Stationary & Capex etc Strong stakeholder relationship management and the ability to win hearts and minds of internal customers and stakeholders is key to the success of this role. Able to work and analyse data to produce reports against which to form strategies and solutions around. Strong and continuous attention to customer service, supporting Procurement Director with drafting and agreeing - service level agreements, partnership agreements and supply contracts (as required). A can-do attitude, constantly looking to demonstrate "Best value for Money" procurement. Industry and market knowledge with ideally proven experience of tried and tested sources / sourcing solutions. Support Procurement Director with development and presentation of strong and carefully thought-out business cases around indirect spend sourcing initiatives. Support and over time lead supplier reviews with key supply partners. Knowledge of stock/materials management techniques such as Consignment / Vending / VMI etc MCIPS (level 4) or working towards desirable

The Future

By having a can-do mindset and proactive approach this role could progress to having more accountability in delivering supply chain initiatives through the wider Xtrac business. Strong commercial acumen, a thorough understanding of our business as well as strong relationship skills may lead to other roles across Xtrac. Become Xtrac's Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all indirect spend procurement. "Go to Person" Advancement in the future to a Snr Buyer role.
