Buyer

to take strategic ownership of our procurement operations.

You'll play a central role in keeping our production running smoothly -- managing purchasing across ingredients, packaging, logistics, and essential supplies. You'll be responsible for supplier relationships, cost control, and ensuring we maintain a reliable and efficient supply chain.

This is a hands-on role with real impact. You'll collaborate closely with teams across production, marketing, technical, and product development.

Key Responsibilities

Purchasing & Procurement

Forecast purchasing needs based on production plans and trends Place and manage orders, ensuring goods are delivered on time and in full (OTIF)*
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers -- negotiating costs, delivery schedules, and terms Own supplier performance tracking and resolve any issues proactively Provide cost tracking and forward projections for budgeting and planning Support new product development by sourcing new materials within budget and spec

Packaging

Manage packaging reviews, ensuring accurate and timely artwork/design checks. Coordinate structural and visual packaging changes across internal teams and suppliers Drive ongoing improvements in packaging functionality and sustainability

Cleaning & Sundry Supplies

Ensure consistent availability of essential cleaning and production items Manage orders and respond quickly to any supply challenges

What We're Looking For

A commercially aware, organised, and collaborative buyer with:

Proven experience in procurement or supply chain roles (FMCG/food industry a plus) Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills Strong attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset A good understanding of balancing cashflow, cost, and supply continuity The ability to build cross-functional relationships and manage multiple deadlines
