Job Summary


We are a local manufacturing company with a long history in the brewing industry and we are seeking a highly organised and driven Buying Assistant to support with all buying and procurement functions within our business.

You will have strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail and be confident working with numbers and data. You will have the ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

You'll work closely with Suppliers, Production, Sales & Marketing and Finance to ensure the needs of the business and the expectations of all stakeholders are met.

Tasks will include providing administrative support, managing supplier communication and performance, maintaining accurate product and pricing data, monitoring stock levels and raising and tracking subsequent purchase orders.

Key responsibilities:



Supporting the buying and selling processes and ensuring deadlines are achieved.

Planning, monitoring and maintaining suitable inventory levels of raw materials and merchanted products.

Maintaining accurate product and pricing information on Sage 200.

Management of direct deliveries into customers.

Full management of the Purchase Order Processing system, including maintaining accurate pricing information, keeping on top of expected delivery dates, and keeping key stakeholders informed of any potential availability issues.

Resolving invoice queries related to Purchase Orders.

Sourcing new products in line with customer and production requests, ensuing all suppliers and products fall within the strict requirements of our QMS.

Miscellaneous company purchases.

Build strong and progressive relationships across all levels of the company.

Ad-hoc support across the business where required.

Key Skills Needed:



Ability to work both independently and as a team member.

Good interpersonal skills to build strong relationships both internally and with suppliers.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Good commercial awareness and business acumen.

Ability to analyse data and act on it accordingly.

Strong organisational skills and an ability to meet timelines in a disciplined manner.

Strong IT and numerical skills, particularly in MS Office.

At least 1 years' experience in a similar buying role.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 26,000.00-30,000.00 per year
