Job Summary



We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Buying Assistant to join the team at our office in Cupar and help shape the future of our brand.

The objective for this position is to provide administrative support and assistance to the buying team.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for the candidate to develop their skills and become an important part of Hoggs of Fife growth.

Responsibilities



Ensure all administration for the team is completed in a timely & efficient manner. Assist buyer with garment fittings and feedback comments to supplier. Create style codes and purchase orders as required. Manage size charts and update files. Manage master style file. Prepare tech packs for suppliers and update files. General department housekeeping. Managing buying office samples throughout product development stages. Prepare samples for meetings as required. Manage showroom samples, keeping stock up to date and merchandised. Liaising with suppliers daily. Build and manage supplier relationships. Liaising with other internal departments as necessary. Attend meetings as required and take minutes, ensuring action points are monitored and progressed.

Skills



Excellent eye for detail & high level of accuracy. Computer literate with experience of MS Office, especially Outlook and Excel. Strong communication skills. Organised and ability to meet deadlines. Positive can-do attitude and be self-motivated. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Team player. Knowledge of clothing design & garment construction will be advantageous. Prior experience or familiarity with ERP system Sage will be advantageous. Previous experience in a similar role or recently graduated from a relevant course with the desire to begin a career within buying.

Opportunities



Occasional travel when required, both domestic & international. Training towards departmental buyer role.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Graduate

Pay: 27,500.00-30,000.00 per year
