About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a
Retail & Buys Assistant
to join our Ipswich team.
This is a
full-time, permanent position
(40 hours per week) with shifts scheduled
Monday to Sunday
.
As a Retail & Buys Assistant, you'll be responsible for
buying and selling pre-owned goods
in-store. You'll engage with customers, listen to their needs, and provide product advice using effective questioning and sales techniques. Your role is key to creating a great in-store experience that keeps customers coming back.
About You
You'll ideally have:
Experience in
customer service or retail
A good working knowledge of
modern gadgets
such as mobile phones, tablets, PCs, and gaming consoles - or experience with
jewellery
Confidence in
negotiating and demonstrating products
Strong
communication and listening skills
Excellent
attention to detail
and
time management
Computer literacy
The ability to
work well under pressure
A
team-oriented attitude
with the initiative to work independently when needed
Key Responsibilities
Achieve and maximise
sales targets
while maintaining and enhancing the company's image
Deliver
outstanding customer service
through continuous product knowledge and engagement
Demonstrate merchandise
and identify opportunities for
link sales
Replenish stock and maintain
high standards of merchandising and store presentation
Take part in ongoing
training and development
to keep your skills and knowledge up to date
