Join us as a Regulatory Project Lead where you will be responsible for leading on regulatory change initiatives and ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the required standard to meet regulator expectations, to focus on delivering projects, ensuring completion within scope, time, and budget with a more immediate focus.


To be successful as a Regulatory Project Lead, you should be:

Proactive, with a delivery mindset, taking personal responsibility for targets and willing to learn. Experienced in delivering change and working to strict internal and external deadlines Experienced working with abstract or conceptual topics with an ability to convert them into tangible, trackable deliverables. Able to identify and manage risks that arise throughout the project lifecycle, developing mitigation strategies to minimise potential disruptions or delays. Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with colleagues at all levels, including drafting and presenting materials for senior management e.g. briefings decks, progress reports, project plans.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

Knowledge and experience of structuring and restructuring exercises Knowledge of UK and international Banking Reform legislation and regulations Understanding Barclays, it's operations and internal structures Prior experience working at or with Financial services Regulators Knowledge of Barclays Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF), Operational Risk Framework (ORF) and Barclays Control Framework (BCF).

Accountabilities

Scope Management: Manages a single project with specific, defined objectives, deadlines, and deliverables. Their focus is on completing the project on time, within scope, and on budget. Strategic Focus: Operates more tactically, focusing on day-to-day management of resources, schedules, and deliverables for their individual project. Time Horizon: Works with a shorter, more defined timeframe as projects have a set beginning and end. Stakeholder Management: Primarily manages stakeholders related to their specific project, ensuring communication and expectations are clear for the project's deliverables. Risk and Issue Management: Focuses on risks and issues specific to their project and works to mitigate them within the project's scope. Resource Management: Manages resources for their individual project, ensuring that the project team has the necessary skills, tools, and time to complete the work. Financial Management: Focuses on managing the budget of their specific project, ensuring it is completed within the financial constraints. Metrics: Measures success based on the timely completion of project deliverables within scope, time, and budget. Change Management: Manages changes that directly impact their specific project, including scope changes, timelines, or resource allocation adjustments.
