The Role
We are seeking a technically skilled IT Specialist with strong problem-solving abilities. This national role will support our entire group in server setup and various IT functions. The candidate can work from London, Lakeside, Bristol, or Warwick, with travel required for server installations. The IT Specialist will act as a key point of reference for all user-level IT inquiries, respond to user needs promptly, and ensure the optimal functioning of all systems, among other technical responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Install and configure hardware and software components for optimal usability.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.
Upgrade systems to support compatible software across all computers.
Install and update antivirus software to maintain user-level security.
Conduct tests and evaluations on new software and hardware.
Provide user support and serve as the first point of contact for error reporting.
Foster strong relationships with all departments and colleagues.
Manage technical documentation.
Oversee and maintain the telephone system.
Address and resolve server-related issues.
Maintain systems, databases, web pages, CCTV, group emails and more.
Set up initial site hardware and ensure proper configuration.
Manage relationships with third-party IT vendors and service providers.
Oversee IT asset management, including tracking, assignment, maintenance coordination, and repair arrangements.
Requirements
Proven track record in overseeing IT operations and support
Experience in Microsoft Intune
Experience with servers, networks, Windows Server, and software installation.
Knowledge of telephone and CCTV systems.
Strong hardware experience
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently.
Valid UK driving license.
Willingness to travel and support all branches across the UK (London, Lakeside, Bristol, Warwick).
