We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our team. This role involves the fabrication and assembly of high-quality cabinetry for residential and commercial projects. Duties
Fabricate cabinet components using various hand tools, power tools, and specialised machinery
Assemble cabinetry with attention to detail, ensuring all joints and fittings are secure and accurate
Operate hand tools such as saws, chisels, drills, and screwdrivers efficiently and safely
Measure and mark materials precisely according to project specifications
Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment to uphold safety standards
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to produce customised cabinetry
Assist with finishing processes including sanding, staining, or painting as required
Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure specifications are met within deadlines
Skills
Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, and carpentry with a focus on joinery techniques
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Strong understanding of construction principles including roofing, plumbing, masonry, electrical systems (nice-to-have)
Ability to lift heavy materials safely and perform physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting throughout the day
Knowledge of construction painting techniques is advantageous
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately
Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment
