The Role:
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Cabinetmaker to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for making, building, and finishing high-quality furniture. This is an exciting opportunity to work on unique projects that challenge your skills and creativity.
Key Responsibilities:
Craft bespoke furniture pieces from start to finish, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
Work with a variety of materials, including wood, veneers, and other specialist materials.
Assemble and fit furniture according to design specifications.
Sand, finish, and polish furniture to a high standard.
Read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
Ensure all work meets our quality and safety standards.
Collaborate with the design and production team to achieve the best results.
Perform scribing tasks.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a cabinetmaker.
Strong woodworking skills and a good understanding of joinery techniques.
Experience working with different materials and finishes.
Ability to work with a variety of tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
Keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, create and plan a system of work, and manufacture the given item.
Ability and knowledge to create an accurate cutting list of all items required for manufacture from drawings.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Time-consciousness throughout the making of an item to ensure completion within given parameters.
Flexibility and willingness to take on varied tasks.
Passion for craftsmanship and a creative approach to furniture making.
Desirable:
Knowledge of modern and traditional woodworking techniques.
Relevant qualifications in woodworking.
